Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide unique experiences combining traditional martial arts and theatrical combat training. Our sessions focus on fun, control, and mindfulness while exploring how to safely wield prop lightsabers.

What is the New Orleans Light Academy?

The New Orleans Light Academy was created by a passionate group of Star Wars fans who wanted to expand the practice of martial arts and theatrical combat for a nontraditional audience. Our inclusive training sessions endeavor to infuse fun into a combination of mindfulness and sword technique.
